At 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%, we have to attack the Dragonair statues, which only take damage from Normal-type attacks. Until we defeat them, we cannot deal damage to the boss.
The image above shows an example of a safe position where you can stand without worrying about the statues dealing damage to us after their health reaches zero. When the statues’ health reaches zero, they fire Hyper Beam at the orb.
Therefore, do not stand near the orb. The statues or the boss reflect damage, so stay alert.

The best Pokémon types for this boss are:

  • Normal (to attack the statues)
  • Dragon
  • Fairy
  • Ice
