The eggs are obtained through the Pokémon daycare system with the NPC Kate who is located in Fuchsia or at Paniola Ranch.
(Both daycares are connected, which means you can leave two Pokémon at either location and you will see the same Pokémon at the other.
You cannot leave different Pokémon at each daycare; the Pokémon you place in Fuchsia will also appear at Paniola Ranch and vice versa.)
The process works like this:
- Leave two Pokémon of opposite genders in the daycare
- During training, they will develop a special bond
- The bond reaches 100% in a period of 2 weeks
- Once the bond is at 100%, the Pokémon will continue training together
- After an additional 2 weeks, the female will lay an egg and you can retrieve it
- Without withdrawing the Pokémon from the daycare, they can become parents again
- Due to the previous successful bond, now it only takes 3 weeks to obtain another egg (However, it is important to note that the daycare can only hold one egg at a time. If you haven't retrieved the previous egg, a new egg will not be produced until you remove the existing one)
Cycle summary:
- Initial bond: 2 weeks
- Wait for the initial egg: 2 weeks
- Wait for subsequent eggs: 3 weeks
Once you obtain a Pokémon egg, you need to store it in your bag and carry it everywhere with you; after a while, it will hatch!
Not every Pokémon can have eggs. We can obtain eggs from the following Pokémon:
