The quest may be started in Saffron, by talking to NPC Tomatito.
Contents
Mission 1
Tomatito asks you for Pokedex entries of all Bug type Pokemon from Kanto region. You are required to register: Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Paras, Parasect, Venonat, Venomoth, Scyther and Pinsir.
Mission 2
After obtaining Pokedex entries, Tomatito asks you to complete the task to kill Ivysaurs. To start it, you have to be at least level 40.
In order to start the task, you should head to NPC Lost Wanderer, located in Pewter. Before starting the Ivysaur task, you must have Bulbasaur task completed. That consists of killing 300 Bulbasaurs. After that, you may get a task to kill 350 Ivysaurs.
After completing both tasks, you should head back to NPC Tomatito.
Mission 3
For the last mission NPC Tomatito asks you to collect the following items:
100 caterpie's horns, 100 pot of bug moss, 50 scythes, 45 vileplume's petals, 45 bug antenna, 25 horns, 30 pairs of twin needles, 15 butterfree's wings and 5 insect plate.
Caterpie's horn may be looted from Caterpie.
Pot of bug moss may be looted from Bug type Pokemon.
Scythe may be looted from Scyther.
Vileplume's petal may be looted from Vileplume.
Bug antenna may be looted from Venonat and Venomoth.
Horn may be looted from Pinsir, Tauros and Rhydon.
Pair of twin needles may be looted from Beedrill.
Butterfree's wing may be looted from Butterfree.
Insect plate may be looted from Bug type Pokemon.
